Sports Physicals
During summer or fall, your child's sports physical can be quick, easy and simple. Durham Family Medicine is pleased to offer affordable Sports Physicals to all children in and near the Durham area... even if we have never seen them before! Our practice is the ideal location for the mandatory physical exam required by many youth sports organizations as well as all high schools and colleges. This exam, performed by a medical professional, consists of the following:
- Medical history and evaluation
- Vital signs
- Cardiovascular and pulmonary examination
- Completion of appropriate paperwork
Sports physicals are available each Saturday, between 9:00 AM and Noon. Appointments are required to ensure doctor availability, and full payment of $40.00 is due at the time of service. In order to keep expenses to a minimum, we can only accept cash or checks for these services, but a portion of the fee will be donated to the school your child attends in the fall.

Megan found her love for massage in high school while working as a student Athletic Trainer; she often massaged athletes as a part of the rehabilitation process. After receiving a Bachelor of Science from Johnson & Wales University, she pursued her education in Massage Therapy only 3 days after graduating from the 4-yr institution. Megan believes in providing her customers with the best possible experience. Megan continues to explore new modalities and is forever evolving as a Massage Therapist.
